• If there is no grille, the stray light from the edge of the soft box will go straight to the front of the camera lens, forming a white fog glare in the picture;

4. Grille actual parameter compensation and safety specifications

1. Illuminance attenuation compensation (Exposure Compensation):

• The black grille physically absorbs and blocks part of the diffuse light. After the honeycomb is fastened, the overall effective light intensity will be attenuated by about 0.5 stops to 1.0 stops (-0.7 EV typical value)**;
• The flash power needs to be increased by half a stop accordingly to keep the exposure baseline of the model's face unchanged.

• When installing the Velcro, it must be evenly tightened and flattened along the four corners;
• It is strictly forbidden to droop or collapse in the center of the grille. Drooping folds will disturb the geometric angle of the grid and produce uneven local dark bands in the light spot.
